Privacy Policy
Green Racks Pty Ltd (ABN 72 662 508 447) (“Green Racks”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information, and how we comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
Last updated: 29 June 2026.
What personal information we collect
- Contact form submissions — when you use our contact form we collect your name, email address, phone number and the contents of your message.
- Technical and server log data — our web server automatically records your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the referring page, the pages you view and the date and time of access.
- Security and network data — our content delivery and security provider (Cloudflare) and our security plugin (Wordfence) process your IP address and request metadata to deliver and protect the website and to detect and block malicious activity.
- Search analytics — we use aggregated search-performance data (such as search queries, impressions and clicks) from Google Search Console via the Rank Math plugin. This data is aggregated and does not identify individual visitors.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive information (as defined in the Privacy Act) through this website, and we do not collect payment card details through this website.
How we collect personal information
We collect personal information directly from you when you submit our contact form or otherwise contact us. Technical and security data is collected automatically when you visit the website. Contact form submissions are delivered to us by email and are not stored in a database on the website.
Why we collect and use it
- To respond to your enquiry and provide the services you request;
- To operate, secure, maintain and improve the website;
- To protect the website and our infrastructure against fraudulent, malicious or unauthorised activity;
- To comply with our legal obligations and maintain business records.
We will only use your personal information for the purpose for which it was collected, for a directly related secondary purpose you would reasonably expect, or as otherwise permitted or required by law.
Disclosure to third parties
We do not sell your personal information. We use the following third-party service providers, who may process limited personal information on our behalf:
- Cloudflare, Inc. — DNS, content delivery and website security (processes IP address and request metadata).
- Google LLC (Google Workspace) — email delivery (contact form submissions are delivered to us by email) and aggregated Search Console analytics.
- Defiant, Inc. (Wordfence) — website firewall and malware scanning (processes IP address and request data).
We may also disclose personal information where required or authorised by law.
Overseas disclosure
Some of the providers above are located, or store data, outside Australia (including in the United States). Where we disclose personal information to overseas recipients we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in accordance with the APPs. The website’s primary data — including contact records held by us — is stored on hardware we own and operate in Osborne Park, Western Australia, under Australian jurisdiction.
Data storage and security
We store the personal information we control on infrastructure we own and operate in our Osborne Park, Western Australia facility. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure — including physical access controls, network firewalling, encryption in transit (HTTPS) and restricted administrative access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Notifiable data breaches
Where a data breach involving your personal information is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
How long we keep it
- Contact enquiries — retained for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then deleted, unless we are required to keep them longer for legal or business-records purposes.
- Server logs — retained for up to 90 days.
- Security logs (Wordfence) — retained in accordance with the plugin’s settings, typically up to 30 days.
We will destroy or de-identify personal information when it is no longer needed for any permitted purpose.
Your rights: access, correction and deletion
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable period. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. There is generally no charge for making a request, although we may charge a reasonable fee for giving access in some circumstances.
